Laser Vascular Treatment for Spider Veins

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VARICOSE VEINS, SPIDER VEINS AND FACIAL VEINS?

• Varicose veins are the blue or purplish enlarged veins you typically see bulging out of a person's leg, most often on the backs of the calves or on the inside of the legs. ND: YAG 1064nm involves directing intense light directly at the veins. This causes the blood within them to coagulate and the blood is then diverted to veins deeper below the surface of the skin where it should be.

The Results
The appearance of the veins is greatly improved and the associated symptoms disappear as well.

HOW DOES LASER VASCULAR TREATMENT WORK?

Sensitive lasers are used to target and break down the unwanted spider veins through a process called photothermolysis. This bypasses normal skin, only interacting with the abnormal veins. The laser is administered in short bursts to avoid harming the skin.

HOW WILL I FEEL DURING LASER VASCULAR TREATMENT?

Minor discomfort may be experienced, but generally laser treatment is safe and painless.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER LASER VASCULAR TREATMENT?

You may need 4 or 5 treatments depending on personal factors. The time interval between sessions is 6-8 weeks. You might also notice some swelling or slight bruising but this is temporary and soon fades to reveal your newly clear skin.
